Increasing Student Achievement

High Five has defined three key areas to focus on enriching area high schools: enhancing instructional strategies, assisting with the redesign of school structures, and improving community support of families and schools. High Five is committed to supporting teachers, principals and central office staffs in their own school improvement efforts through regional collaboration.

Through job embedded staff development, such as the implementation of subject specific discussion boards on the High Five website and the implementation of Professional Learning Communities, the partnership hopes to provide all teachers and administrators with the additional tools to challenge, engage and support high school students.

High Five brings key instructional strategists, such as Robert Marzano and Rick DuFour, to the region. The partnership is committed to working diligently to provide the support that school systems need.

Further, in an effort to increase support from the broader communities, High Five is developing a print and broadcast media campaign to reach students, families and community leaders.
